I tend to collect old computers. Most people would call them "junk" or "garbage", but I call them little bits of history. I am particularly interested in professional- and enterprise-grade equipment(ie. not regular consumer gear). Most of my gear has been obtained from dumpsters, thrift store, garage sales, and the side of the road.

I am currently organizing my workshop(moving out of my college apartment brought quite a bit of equipment into the workshop :), but I should have some good pictures up shortly. I'll probably start with my old Unisys 100 Univac terminal. I finally took the main boards out today to photograph them individually. I must say, I am somewhat humbled when I'm holding a large board filled with rows of diodes and resistors with a large block of core memory in the center. It makes me wish I had been born several decades earlier so that I could experience the making of this fine machine. Sadly, the terminal is nonfunctional in its current state. I believe one of the windings in the main transformer is open. I am sure there are many other problems as well, but without a working power supply I cannot possibly diagnose them.
